Halloween project

The bilingual group at IES Cantillana is formed by the following teachers:

- Fernando Mimbrero (Music Department)
- Fernando J. González (Philosophy Department)
- Guillermo López (Social Sciences Department)
- Emilio Lunar (Math Department)
- Enrique Aceituno (Natural Sciences Department)
- Ángela E. Iglesias Moreno (English Department)

Our first integrated project has been Halloween. We all prepared activities about the festivity and put them in practice with our bilingual students of  1st, 2nd and 3rd year ESO. The Spanish Language and the Arts  Department also participated in our Halloween project. Here you will find all the activities carried out at the school.

Math Department

Emilio Lunar prepared some Halloween problems for the students to solve. Here you can read them. Why don´t you give them a try?

Spanish Language Department
The Spanish Language Department suggested this original reading and questions about it.

Social Sciences Department

A power point about Halloween. Enjoy it here

Natural Sciences Department
Two activities for our bilingual 1º and 2º ESO students. The 1º ESO students made scary skeletons that helped them study vocabulary about bones. The 2º ESO students had to solve a mystery using some clues.

Music Department
Sure you remember the film Nightmare Before Christmas.
The song This is Halloween  is used in this fill in the blank exercise.

English Department
The English Department organised a pumpkin contest. On 31st October students brought their carved pumkins and we made an exhibition of them. There were prizes for the best ones. The Department also organised different activities in class.
